The COMESA Monetary Institute (CMI) in collaboration with Central Bank of Egypt has conducted training in International Reserve Management. The training, conducted in Cairo, Egypt took place from 16 to 27 March 2014, following the decision of Governors of central banks in the COMESA region to conduct such training.

The 18th Meeting of the COMESA Committee of Governors of Central Banks, which was held in Kigali, Rwanda in December 2012, instructed the COMESA Monetary Institute to organize a training course on “Advanced Panel Econometrics” in 2013. In line with that decision CMI organized the training from 16-27 June 2013 in Cairo, Egypt.

The Monetary Institute held a validation workshop on the implementation of the COMESA Multilateral Fiscal Surveillance Framework. The workshop, held from 27-31 August 2012 in the Kenya School of Monetary Studies in Nairobi, was attended by 12 Member States, the African Development Bank and the East African Community.
