Vision of the COMESA Monetary Institute (CMI)

The vision of the COMESA Monetary Institute (CMI) is to make the region a zone of macroeconomic stability and ultimately achieve monetary union that will lower the cost of doing business, facilitate intra-COMESA trade and make the region globally competitive and attractive for cross border and foreign investment.

MISSION

The main mission of the COMESA Monetary Institute is to undertake all technical preparatory work needed for enhancing monetary cooperation in the region with the aim of establishing a COMESA Monetary Union.
