This study was prepared by a team of the AfDB staff, and external consultants under the overall management of Jian Zhang, Principal Macroeconomist, AfDB and Task Manager, and Ibrahim Abdullahi Zeidy, Senior Financial Economist, COMESA Secretariat and Co-Task Manager. Moono Mupotola, ONRI2 Division Manager, AfDB, provided strategic guidance in designing the general framework for the study, and the related missions to African RECs (EAC, COMESA and SADC Secretariats) and Multilateral Financial Institutions (IMF, World Bank, IADB, ECB, OECD, EC, AsDB and ECCB), and provided comments on the draft of this report, in addition to taking time in leading part of the missions to the related institutions.
